Job summary

Mace Group is seeking a delivery leader for rail projects in the UAE, responsible for leading design, procurement, construction, testing and handover to ensure safety, efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.

The role requires strong client-facing and multidisciplinary coordination skills, with experience in major infrastructure programmes and knowledge of delivery processes. UAE/GCC experience is advantageous; flexible/hybrid working options may apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in the applicable discipline.
• Demonstrated experience on rail, metro, high-speed rail or comparable major infrastructure programmes.
• Strong client-facing, analytical, written communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Knowledge of relevant delivery processes, standards, systems and governance for the role.
• Professional membership, chartership or specialist certification preferred where applicable.
• UAE or wider GCC experience is advantageous but should not replace demonstrable technical and delivery competence.

Responsibilities

• Delivery leadership for rail projects, packages or workstreams across design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Leads the successful delivery of rail projects, packages and critical workstreams, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently and in line with strategic objectives.
• Shapes and implements delivery approaches, integrating design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities into a coordinated programme of work.
• Builds strong partnerships with clients, operators, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners, creating alignment and driving collective success.
• Directs project resources, specialists and delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
• Provides oversight of programme milestones, commercial performance, project controls and delivery risks, enabling proactive management and informed decision-making.
• Champions robust governance, contractual compliance and quality assurance, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and operational readiness.
• Drives innovation and value creation through digital delivery, construction to production (C2P), sustainable practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitates seamless transition from project delivery through testing, handover and operational readiness, ensuring long-term value for clients and end users.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
