Job summary

An innovative marine geophysical service provider in Dubai is looking for a Senior Specialist Project Transactions. This critical role involves accounting for projects, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with policies. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferably holds a chartered accountancy, and has at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a senior role. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in accounting transactions and operations.
• At least 2 years in a senior role.
• Experience in a multinational company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Timely processing of client and vendor invoices.
• Participating in project budgets and expenditures discussions.
• Ensuring documentation and accounting of capital projects.
• Performing monthly closing activities.
• Collecting accounts receivable balances from customers.
• Preparing financial statements under local GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Accounting for prepayments and accruals.
• Improving internal reports to help management.
• Monitoring expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
