Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for offshore project reporting and governance in Abu Dhabi. You will lead development of integrated department reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with client standards and contractual obligations.

The role requires extensive experience in project reporting, planning or controls within Oil & Gas, with strong skills in Excel, Power BI, and SAP or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in project reporting, planning, or controls within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven expertise in reporting for large-scale capital projects.
• Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, and SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and AI-assisted tools.
• Consolidate data from stakeholders to produce integrated reports.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports with variance analyses and forecasting.
• Coordinate with Planning & Governance to align reports with baselines.
• Monitor resource planning and perform root-cause analysis for deviations.
• Ensure reports comply with client standards and contractual obligations.
• Maintain historical reports, change logs and audit trails.
• Present findings to project managers and senior leadership.
• Support project reviews, audits, and stakeholder meetings with reporting packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting & Dashboarding Develop and maintain project dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and AI-assisted tools for enhanced visualization and automation.
• Consolidate data from different stakeholders to produce integrated and actionable reports.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including variance analyses and forecasting summaries.
• Collaborate with Planning & Governance Team to ensure reported progress aligns with baseline schedules.
• Monitor Resource Planning and perform root cause analysis for deviations.
• Ensure all reports comply with Client standards and contractual obligations.
• Maintain a structured repository of historical reports, change logs, and audit trails.
• Present findings to project managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Support project reviews, audits, and Stakeholder meetings with tailored reporting packages.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience 8–10 years of experience in project reporting, planning, or controls within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven expertise in reporting for large-scale capital projects.
• Technical Skills Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, and SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to data integrity and reporting accuracy.
