Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Engineer based in Dubai with responsibilities in overseeing engineering activities and ensuring compliance with HSSE and technical requirements. The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of professional experience in construction and project management, along with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a plus. The position is for a duration of 24 months with potential for extension.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering activities related to procurement and construction.
• Prepare the onshore campaign and ensure close out.
• Advise the engineering team on construction and procurement activities.

Qualifications / Experience required

• Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 Years
• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Professional experience: 15 years minimum.
• Excellent knowledge in civil works & earthworks, infrastructures, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning
• Knowledge and understanding of contract management
• Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule)
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Language: English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus.

Job Dimensions

• During the Detailed Engineering phase, the job holder is responsible, within the GPP team located in the engineering offices and under the GPP Package Manager, for overseeing and advising the engineering team with regards to engineering activities related to construction and procurement.
• The job holder is also in charge of the preparation of the overall construction activities to be carried out by the EPC Contractor on SITE in IRAQ (and Subcontractors).
• The job holder ensures that all HSSE, Quality and Technical contractual requirements are duly applied by EPC Contractor and all Subcontractors on the construction discipline.
• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE, ethics and “code of conduct”.

The job holder is responsible to:

• Oversee all engineering activities related to procurement and construction during Detailed Engineering phase,and close follow up for both area OSA/Utilities & Process
• Prepare the onshore campaign
• Ensure close out
