Job description

To liaise with the Contractors/Suppliers/ Principals / Architects / Clients and ensure timely completion of design works and project program on site, in an organized and cost effective manner in accordance with the approved design, quality standards and within the agreed time frame so as to meet stakeholder’s expectation’s and maintain continuity of business

Responsibilities
  • Obtain the drawings of the project and assess the material requirement accurately and ascertain the material for procurement.
  • Carry out procurement of material ensuring availability of the right quality within the agreed time and in the most cost effective manner.
  • Coordinate with all Principals / Architects / Mall Management / Clients for obtaining approval on all projects related activities.
  • Prepare accurate project programs in coordination with the Project Manager, clearly indicate timeframes and activities involved in the project and monitor progress against the plan taking corrective action where required through effective coordination with the client, contractors, etc.
  • Maintain and manage effective communication with Contractors and suppliers to ensure effective updates and follow-through at all stages of the project.
  • Supervise the site regularly, provide updates on the progress of the project and attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an effective and timely manner thereby achieving client requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on works carried out to ensure that the products meet all client specifications and coordinate with estimation department on variation and for progress billing/ final invoice.
  • Receive as built drawings, manuals, keys, etc. on project completion and issue the completion certificate to the contractor. Ensure proper dismantling and demobilization of site, conduct snagging and complete the close-out procedures.
  • Manage and ensure that all health & safety procedures are in place by the contractor and are implemented on site.
  • Research on alternative and cost effective hardware combinations/solutions to ensure competitiveness in the market and continued customer patronage.
People Management Roles and Responsibilities
  • Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
Qualifications
  • Education/Certification and Continued Education: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture.
  • Years of Experience: 5 to 6 years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Attention to detail and concern for quality.
