A prominent construction firm in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead a team in meeting client requirements efficiently. Candidates should possess an engineering degree and have at least 10 years of experience in project and construction management, particularly in the oil and gas or modular building sectors. Responsibilities include managing project phases, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with organizational protocols. Immediate joiners are preferred, with a maximum notice period of 30 days.

Job description

• Leads a team of Engineers in team and co-ordination of project resources to ensure that his assigned area meets client contractual requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
• Responsible for all the phases of the Project and disciplines activities as applicable for the assigned area, including all the HSSE, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning. Responsibilities also cover schedule and cost adherence and coordination.
• Interface with Owners representatives
• Closely co-ordinate with Engineering and participate in / contribute to Engineering / technical decisions, taking into consideration Constructability and Project requirements, schedule and cost adherence.
• Participate in Design reviews.
• Closely co-ordinate pre-order activities and resolve technical issues to ensure timely placement of Purchase Orders.
• Monitor performance of suppliers and subcontractors to determine compliance with Contractual obligations.
• Manage the preparation and presentation of the final documentation and liaise with the Owner for the issuance of the acceptance certificates.
• Provide leadership to project engineers and team to plan, monitor, and control the execution of the assigned area within the time and budgetary parameters.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• An engineering degree with a minimum of 10 yrs of Project and Construction management experience in the oil and gas construction sector or Modular building construction sector.
• Through knowledge and understanding of all phases and sequence of work in Project & construction Management.
• Exposure to Client interactions and discussions.

UAE driving license

Note: Immediate joiners are preferred, Maximum within 30 days of notice period. Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for either a Senior Project Engineer or a Project Engineer role.
