Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is seeking an ambitious professional to join its Group Business Service team. You will own the end-to-end solution architecture for daily banking modules, including onboarding, CASA, deposits, payments, and accounting, while defining data architecture and data flows across data warehouse, data lake and regulatory reporting systems.

You will lead API design, integration and non-functional requirements with collaboration across Infrastructure, Security and Risk.

Formación

• Minimum 12 years in banking technology with 6+ years as a solution architect on core banking implementations
• Experience designing core banking data architecture and leading data migration from legacy platforms
• Strong exposure to multi-vendor delivery, end-to-end testing, cutover and production readiness
• Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture, core banking products, data management or cloud architecture are preferred

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

Solution Architecture – Daily Banking Modules

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for daily banking modules, including customer onboarding, CASA, term deposits, payments and transfers, standing instructions, cheques, fees and charges, interest, limits, statements and accounting.
• Produce high-level and detailed solution designs, architecture decision records and target-state blueprints, and secure approval through the Bank’s architecture governance forums.
• Ensure designs maximise use of the core banking product’s standard capability and minimise customisation and technical debt.

Business Requirements, Fit-Gap and Product Configuration

• Lead fit-gap analysis of business, product and regulatory requirements against the core banking platform, and define solution options for each gap.
• Ensure end-to-end processes across channels, branches, back office and operations are designed consistently and with the required controls.

Data Architecture and Data Management

• Define the core banking data architecture, covering customer, account, product, transaction, reference and general ledger data, and its alignment with the Bank’s enterprise data model.
• Design data flows from the core platform to the data warehouse, data lake, finance, risk, AML and regulatory reporting systems, including CBUAE reporting requirements.
• Establish data quality, data ownership, lineage, retention, privacy and data classification controls in line with the Bank’s data governance standards and UAE data protection requirements.

Data Migration and Reconciliation

• Define the data migration architecture and strategy from legacy systems, including data mapping, transformation rules, cleansing, extraction and load approach.
• Oversee mock migrations and dress rehearsals, and ensure financial, balance and record-level reconciliation is complete, auditable and signed off by business owners.
• Identify data risks and dependencies early, and drive remediation of data quality issues with business and technology teams.

Integration, APIs and Non-Functional Design

• Design integration between the core banking platform and surrounding systems, including digital and branch channels, payment systems (UAEFTS, IPP/Aani, SWIFT), cards, CRM, AML, AECB and the enterprise service bus.
• Define API, event-streaming and batch patterns, and ensure end-of-day, intraday and real-time processing meet performance, availability and scalability requirements.
• Ensure solution designs meet security, resilience, audit and regulatory requirements in coordination with Infrastructure, Information Security and Risk teams.

Testing, Cutover and Go-Live Assurance

• Support test strategy and test scenario design for functional, end-to-end, data migration and non-functional testing, and resolve solution defects with vendors.
• Provide design assurance for migration rehearsals, cutover plans and go-live readiness, including rollback and contingency arrangements.
• Provide an evidence-based solution readiness assessment for go-live approval and support hypercare and handover to production support.

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

• Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.

• Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance.

Customer Service

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

• At least 12 years of experience in banking technology, including a minimum of 6 years as a solution architect on core banking implementations or transformation programmes, with deep knowledge of daily banking modules such as customer, CASA, term deposits, payments, fees, interest and accounting.
• Proven experience designing core banking data architecture and leading data migration from legacy platforms, with strong exposure to multi-vendor delivery, end-to-end testing, cutover and production readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A Master’s Degree is advantageous.

Professional Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF or equivalent), core banking products (Temenos, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Finacle or Thought Machine), data management (DAMA CDMP or equivalent), cloud architecture (Microsoft Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud) or project/programme management are preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Core banking functional and technical architecture, with strong knowledge of daily banking modules, product parameterisation and accounting
• Retail and corporate banking processes, including account opening, deposits, payments, charges, interest accrual, end-of-day processing and general ledger
• Data architecture and data modelling, including customer and account master data, reference data, data warehousing, data lakes and regulatory reporting
• Data migration methods, data quality management, reconciliation and data governance practices
• Integration architecture, including REST APIs, event streaming (for example Kafka), ESB/middleware, batch interfaces and UAE payment systems
• Non-functional design, including performance, availability, security, resilience and cloud-native or containerised deployment of banking platforms
• Core transformation delivery, vendor governance, risk management, executive communication and stakeholder influencing
