Primary Objective:

Procure goods and services at the lowest total end-user cost for Worley and its clients, considering safety, price, service, quality, and delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Worley's or its clients' policies, processes, and procedures to optimize purchasing, expediting, inventory control, and material disposition.
  • Procure materials and equipment safely, timely, efficiently, and cost-effectively in accordance with the ROS date.
  • Conduct business activities in compliance with the Worley Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure vendor selection aligns with Worley's and its clients' policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Understand customer service expectations, review, and measure procurement performance accordingly.
  • Ensure customer requests and specifications are aligned with sound commercial and engineering practices, considering Worley and its clients' standards and market conditions.
  • Develop and manage appropriate materials systems to support effective procurement and materials management.
  • Employ strategic planning and procurement targeting to capitalize on future opportunities and economic conditions, managing risks and optimizing profitability.
  • Interface with clients regarding transportation of materials, supplies, and services, and resource utilization.
  • Develop programs to optimize and control inventory levels held by clients.
  • Report on goals, targets, and achievements in the agreed format.
  • Identify, initiate, and report opportunities for cost savings.
  • Measure performance and employ strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Manage business risks associated with third-party goods and services, including HSEQ, commercial, and technical aspects.
  • Understand legislative aspects of procurement and materials management, such as COSHH, IMDG, and IATA.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Degree in Engineering or a Commercial/Legal discipline. A recognized professional procurement qualification, such as MCIPS, is advantageous.

Minimum years of experience in senior procurement roles within relevant industries.

Strong interpersonal, IT, and supervisory skills.

Proficiency in the use of CMMS systems and tools.
