Job summary

Veolia Water Tech Middle East & Africa is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design, optimize, and manage industrial and municipal wastewater treatment and recycle systems. You will lead process design, pilot programs, troubleshooting, and collaborative problem solving with internal teams and clients.

You will apply advanced technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost effectiveness while supporting regional projects and readiness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in wastewater treatment process design.
• Experience with Sewage Treatment, Industrial Wastewater and recycle plants.
• Familiarity with MBBR and MBR technology.
• Oil and gas wastewater experience prioritized.
• Regional project exposure and travel willingness.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and other countries.

Responsibilities

• Read tender documents and understand client requirements.
• Develop process schemes and calculations for wastewater plants.
• Create PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and equipment sizing.
• Provide technical field support during startup and testing.
• Lead basic engineering reviews and HAZOP sessions.
• Develop pilot plant designs and report preparation.
• Support sales teams with bid strategies and client meetings.
• Document lessons learned and protect competitive technologies.
• Coordinate with global teams for process validation.
