Job description

We are looking for a Senior Planning & Reporting Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE, with missions in IRAQ whenever required

Start date: Tentative in Jul 2024

Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable

Rotation: Resident

Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 years on Oil & Gas Construction projects
  • Degree: Engineer or equivalent
  • Professional experience: Minimum 15 years
  • Excellent knowledge of Scheduling and progress control techniques and tools
  • Proficiency in Primavera, MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of contract management
  • Project management skills (Budget, Cost, Schedule)
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); French and/or Arabic are a plus
Activities:

The job holder will be responsible for:

  1. Demonstrating exemplary behaviour regarding HSSE and implementing HSSE rules within their area of responsibility.
  2. Liaising with the Project Control team, especially with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, ensuring compliance with rules and requirements.
  3. Defining and updating, in coordination with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, suitable GMP Work Breakdown Structures for all project phases.
  4. Developing and maintaining GMP Weekly and Monthly Report structures, producing detailed and accurate reports.
  5. Updating the overall GMP Project Schedules, providing analyses and simulations as needed.
  6. Coordinating activities among Planning and Reporting engineers on-site for consistency.
  7. Monitoring EPC Contractors' procedures, schedules, and progress reports, and ensuring their compliance.
  8. Reporting progress and issues promptly to the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead and Project Control Manager.
  9. Maintaining confidentiality of all scheduling and progress documentation.
  10. Gathering lessons learned related to scheduling, progress control, and reporting, and providing feedback.
  11. Preparing minutes of meetings and key messages regarding scheduling and progress.
  12. Creating presentations for management and coordinating inputs from project team members.
  13. Participating in schedule risk analysis exercises.
  14. Serving as the focal point for Digital Twin activities related to scheduling and progress control.
