Job summary

Nova International General Contracting L.L.C in the UAE is seeking a Planning Engineer to support schedule development, progress monitoring, and performance reporting for its high-end residential project at Al Jurf (JCB). The role involves creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

You will coordinate with site teams, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE and subcontractors, updating schedules weekly and providing accurate planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years’ experience as a Planning Engineer (UAE preferred).
• Proven experience on high-end residential/villa or mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and progress measurement.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create WBS structures, activity sequencing, resource loading, S-curves, and histograms.
• Prepare 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week look-ahead programs.
• Update schedules weekly/monthly and analyze progress vs. plan.
• Identify variances, assess critical path impacts, and prepare planning reports.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, and authority approvals against schedule needs.
• Maintain delay/change event registers and support Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions with schedules and as-built data.
• Coordinate closely with site teams, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors.
• Review subcontractor schedules for alignment with the master plan.
• Maintain planning documentation, revisions, and as-built records.
