Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is recruiting a Consultant Pediatric Vascular Surgeon in Dubai to lead complex vascular care for pediatric patients, including congenital and acquired conditions. The role demands advanced skills in reconstruction, malformation management, and endovascular approaches, partnering with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Vascular Surgery.
• Subspecialty experience in Pediatric Vascular Surgery.
• Minimum 5-7 years of post‑board consultant experience in pediatric vascular surgery.
• Previous experience within a tertiary care or academic hospital is strongly preferred.
• Advanced competence in complex pediatric vascular and reconstructive procedures.
• Strong experience managing congenital vascular anomalies and vascular malformations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose congenital and acquired vascular disorders affecting infants, children, and adolescents.
• Perform pediatric vascular reconstruction and other complex open vascular procedures.
• Manage vascular malformations, aneurysms, arterial abnormalities, venous disorders, and lymphatic conditions.
• Assess pediatric patients requiring complex or long‑term vascular access.
• Review vascular imaging, clinical findings, laboratory results, and physiological data when planning treatment.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric vascular surgery cases.
• Develop individualized operative strategies based on patient age, anatomy, disease severity, and associated medical conditions.
• Participate in emergency management of pediatric vascular trauma, acute ischemia, hemorrhage, thrombosis, and other urgent vascular presentations.
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists on hybrid or endovascular treatment approaches when clinically appropriate.
• Coordinate complex care with pediatric surgery, cardiology, intensive care, anesthesia, plastic surgery, and other relevant specialties.
• Explain diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, surgical risks, and postoperative requirements to patients and families.
• Monitor postoperative circulation, vascular function, wound healing, and recovery following intervention.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation covering consultation findings, procedures, operative reports, treatment decisions, and follow‑up plans.
• Participate in clinical audits, research projects, teaching activities, multidisciplinary reviews, and continuing medical education.
• Support surgical safety, infection prevention, quality improvement, and evidence-based pediatric vascular practice.
