Job summary

Stafmed is recruiting a Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist for a full-time role at a leading UAE hospital. You will diagnose, treat and manage complex pediatric rheumatologic disorders across infants to adolescents, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires board certification in pediatrics with a subspecialty in pediatric rheumatology and eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOHAP licensing.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pediatrics with recognised subspecialty training in Pediatric Rheumatology.
• Recognised Tier 1 qualification (ABMS, Canadian RC, UK CCT/CCST or equivalent) subject to licensing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in pediatric rheumatology.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric rheumatology consultations, assessments and treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage pediatric rheumatic, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
• Evaluate and treat juvenile idiopathic arthritis, SLE, vasculitis and other connective tissue disorders.
• Manage complex pediatric rheumatologic conditions across infants to adolescents.
• Interpret laboratory tests and imaging; monitor disease progression and treatment response.
• Prescribe immunosuppressive therapies and biologics as appropriate.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, immunologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide family counseling on disease management and long-term care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits and quality improvement.
• Support clinical education and departmental development.
