Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon for a leading children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role covers cleft lip/palate, craniofacial reconstruction, pediatric hand surgery, burns, scar revision, and complex reconstructive care for infants to adolescents.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT, orthopedics, dermatology, and other specialists.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Recognized Board Certification or Fellowship in Plastic Surgery.
• Subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Plastic Surgery.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board Consultant experience in Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
• Experience in tertiary-care or academic hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and surgical management for pediatric patients requiring plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic surgery conditions.
• Perform cleft lip and palate repair procedures.
• Undertake craniofacial reconstructive surgery.
• Perform pediatric hand surgery within approved clinical privileges.
• Provide surgical management of pediatric burns and related reconstructive conditions.
• Perform scar revision and soft tissue reconstruction procedures.
• Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma requiring plastic or reconstructive surgical intervention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric teams for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, surgical options, risks and outcomes.
