Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in optometry or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience working as an Optometrist in a clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable about current industry standards and practices related to optometric care.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams on patients including measurement of visual acuity, detection of refractive errors, evaluation of ocular health using diagnostic equipment such as retinoscopes, slit lamps etc.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or treatments as needed.
• Educating patients on eye health and safety issues such as proper eyeglass or contact lens use.
• Maintaining records of patient exams, test results, diagnoses and treatments.
• Fitting contact lenses according to patient needs and preferences.
