Job summary

DEC Dynamic Design Studio in Dubai seeks an experienced Engineering Consultant on-site leader for multi-storey and residential projects. You will guide on-site teams across disciplines and ensure performance aligns with contract documents and regulatory standards.

The role requires extensive UAE experience, ability to review submissions, coordinate with authorities, and manage handover procedures while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Engineering Consultancy on multi-storey building, villa complex and/or residential projects for at least 15 years with at least 7 years in UAE
• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams (Architectural, Structural, MEP)
• Experience reviewing contractor submissions, technical documents, method statements, and site execution plans
• Familiarity with local authorities, safety standards, and regulatory compliance for construction projects
• Experience in contractor payment review, project coordination, and handover processes

Responsibilities

• Act as the Consultant's on-site representative for a specific project zone ensuring the consultant's duties are fulfilled
• Lead consultant's on-site team across multiple disciplines
• Review and approve contractor submissions including shop drawings method statements and materials
• Ensure works comply with contract documents approved drawings and regulatory standards
• Coordinate daily with contractor client and stakeholders to resolve site issues
• Liaise with local authorities for inspection revisions and handover procedures in compliance with regulations
• Represent the Consultant in technical coordination and progress meetings called by the Employer or Contractor
• Conduct safety meetings and oversee adherence to safety standards
• Review contractor payments and prepare recommendations for client approval
