Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Specialist Electrical Engineer for an offshore project to oversee FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC and commissioning, ensuring electrical systems meet ADNOC standards and global codes.

The role requires design, review and coordination of MV/LV distribution, protection studies, and equipment specifications, with strong offshore and brownfield experience. Master’s degree preferred; CEng/PE a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–15 years of electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Group companies, or major Middle East offshore projects.
• Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and commissioning phases.
• Strong exposure to offshore platforms, wellhead towers, substations, and brownfield modifications.
• Willingness to comply with ADNOC engineering standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review electrical engineering calculations and design deliverables for offshore facilities.
• Develop and review SLDs, Load Lists, Load Flow Studies, Short Circuit Studies, and Protection Coordination Studies.
• Design MV/LV power distribution systems and ensure compliance with ADNOC/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Evaluate electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgears, UPS, diesel generators, VFDs, motors, and lighting.
• Support FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, Brownfield and Greenfield projects; coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Provide construction and commissioning support, resolve engineering queries, and participate in safety reviews.
