Job summary

A leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Trade Finance Specialist to ensure compliance with operational standards and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in Trade Finance. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. This is a full-time position with zero remote work options.

Qualifications

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

FAB Centralised Operations is a part of the Business Support Group that provides transaction processing and other operational services to First Abu Dhabi Bank, its subsidiaries, and affiliates across various lines of Business. The highest standards of control and risk oversight are maintained to ensure that the large amounts of financial transactions that take place every day do not entail any unanticipated risk to the Bank or its customers.

Trade Finance department services the Trade transactions originated primarily by WBG (CIB, CB, FI, IB, and Islamic Banking) and also by Consumer Banking.

Specific Accountability

  • Zero Ops Loss; NIL near miss / income leakage event; target zero high-risk error
  • Target zero complaints, minimum 95 percent adherence to TAT standards as agreed with business. Achieve more than 90% satisfaction score in the internal customer survey.
  • Nil unauthorized breaches in Policy/regulatory requirements and SOPs. Satisfactory rating in all audits - INA/RMU/OCS/Self-Assessment.
  • Nil breaches in housekeeping (reconciliations, tracers, DCFCL, etc.).
  • NIL critical findings in regulatory /external/internal audits.
  • No. of PI (process improvement) proposals found fruitful by management. No. of successful PIs implemented.
  • Execute departmental initiatives as advised.
  • Number of cross-functional desk supported during the year.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream or related discipline. CITF preferred
  • Thorough understanding of ICC Rules, local laws, and legal risks, trade documentations, shipping terms, and standard operating procedures of the bank.
  • Specialization in own area of work and working knowledge of all Trade products

Minimum Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Trade Finance with hands-on experience in all trade finance products.
  • Hands-on experience on Core Banking Solutions
  • Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Conversant with MS Office Products (Word, Excel-Macros, Pivot, MS Access) and other Analytical tools.
  • Working knowledge of associated activities like the ones related to IMB, Insurance Business, SWIFT, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of UCP600, URC522, ISBP, ISP98, URDG758, URR725, Incoterms 2010, ICC Banking Commission opinions, etc.
