Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai, United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Officer MIS & Analytics to support FP&A by building and refining management information and financial reporting solutions. Job description

Job Role: The Senior Officer, MIS & Analytics supports the FP&A function by developing, administering and improving management information and financial reporting solutions. The role converts financial and operational data into reliable insights for month-end performance assessment, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision-making, while supporting data quality, governance and appropriate use of reporting technology.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Complete tasks assigned as part of the development of enterprise MIS platform including acting as a key subject matter expert for design and implementation of a Financial Reporting System
• Contribute to the evaluation, selection and implementation of appropriate hardware and software solutions to support the organization’s MIS objectives
• Act as one of the key subject matter experts for design and implementation of Financial Reporting System across the Group by using knowledge of industry best practice
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their data management needs and provide guidance and support in establishing efficient data collection, storage and retrieval
• Assignment of tasks pertaining to development of enterprise data management plan and enforcement of data management policies and procedures
• Act as key subject matter expert for design and implementation of Financial Reporting System across the Group
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in MIS and Financial Management technology to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the organization

Operational Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze the performance of MIS platform as used for Financial Reporting, identify areas for improvement a proactively identify issues and manage through to conclusion
• Review data and identify problems, and present solutions to improve the system’s performance
• Analyze change requests and develop solutions if deemed required after evaluation, track and manage through to implementation if approved
• Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data used for reporting and analysis
• Work with FP&A analysts to prepare and present reports and analysis derived from MIS platform to support strategic decision making
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and contribute to turning around requests from internal, external and regulatory auditors
• Support MIS reporting and analytics for Transaction Banking, covering Cash Management and Trade Finance products
