Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. is seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist in the United Arab Emirates to lead maternal care and surgical deliveries.

The role involves managing prenatal, natal, and postnatal care, performing cesarean sections when needed, and supervising clinical staff to ensure safe, evidence-based practices. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential for patient and family discussions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ post-qualification specialist experience at a specialist level
• At least 1 year specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by UAE healthcare regulator
• Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
• Eligibility for UAE registration (e.g. membership from Royal College/Arab Board/etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform Cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients’ health & deliver babies safely
• Interview new patients to assess symptoms, needs, or problems; record and utilize medical history for diagnosis
• Provide prenatal care for women and their babies before birth
• Deliver babies and perform birth-related duties such as inducing labor or emergency surgery
• Monitor mother and baby throughout childbirth and oversee administration of medications
• Supervise medical staff including nurses and physician assistants on procedures and protocol

Education

Basic medical degree and specialty qualification recognised by UAE authority

Certification and UAE registration eligibility

Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS/DM / MPhil or equivalent recognised by UAE authority
