Job summary

Stantec in Dubai seeks an NOC Engineer to synchronize between the DM Project Team, supervision teams, the Contractor NOC representative, and local authorities.

The role requires reviewing design deliverables, obtaining timely approvals, and efficiently communicating authorities' comments for design changes to project teams. Knowledge of local regulations and fluent English/Arabic are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering standards and codes.
• Sound knowledge of local authorities regulations, codes and guidelines.
• Solid knowledge of engineering design.
• Good communication, organization and planning skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• 8+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Planning Industry in a top-tier regional/multinational engineering consultancy firm, with demonstrated roles in design or authorities coordination.
• Experience with authorities coordination for large projects within the region.
• Experience within Dubai is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between DM Project Team and supervision teams, the Contractor NOC representative, and local authorities in Dubai.
• Review design deliverables with local authorities and seek necessary approvals and permits in a timely manner.
• Communicate authorities' comments and requests for design changes to relevant project teams.
• Stay abreast of changes in local engineering construction-related regulations and communicate them to stakeholders.
