Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors of Engineering (B. E) or Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) – Mandatory.
• Work Experience: 6+ years in IT network.
• Technical Skills: TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting; familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Security Knowledge: CIA principles and firewall security concepts.
• Analytical Skills: ability to analyze logs and traffic for incidents.
• Team Management: prior leadership of a network team.
• Curiosity & Learning: eagerness to grow in cybersecurity and firewalls.
• Time Management & Professionalism: manage priorities effectively with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and model secure enterprise LAN/WAN configurations, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN
• Lead, mentor, and train a team of network engineers, delegating tasks and conducting performance reviews
• Assist in Security Monitoring: Support the monitoring of network security devices, including firewalls, IDPS, and SIEM tools. Help analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats
• Assist in Firewall Management: Aid in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall devices. Learn about firewall policies, rule sets, and ACLs
• Security Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures related to firewall management and network security best practices
• Incident Response and Forensics: Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and mitigate the impact of security breaches
• Security Auditing and Compliance: Perform regular security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of firewall configurations and security controls
• Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Management: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure
• Security Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining documentation of security configurations, policies, and incident response procedures
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security into network operations
