Job summary

Confidential in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced software engineer to design and implement scalable backend services. You will work with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, EF Core, DI, authentication/authorization (JWT/OAuth), and async programming.

You will apply SOLID and clean architecture principles, and contribute to cloud deployments on Azure or AWS. The role requires strong database design, performance tuning, CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration with frontend teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• RESTful API design and development.
• Entity Framework Core proficiency.
• Dependency Injection and layered architectures.
• Authentication & Authorization (JWT, OAuth).
• Async programming and concurrency handling.
• Software Architecture & Design, Clean Architecture.
• SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Database & SQL with strong SQL Server knowledge.
• Advanced SQL queries, DB design, indexing and optimization.
• Transactions and concurrency control, performance debugging.
• Cloud & Deployment experience with Azure or AWS.
• Deploying APIs, databases and web apps; cloud networking basics.
• Secrets/configuration management; logging and monitoring.
• Docker experience; CI/CD and DevOps basics.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI.
• Environment management (Dev, Staging, Production), automated build/test/deploy.
• Testing and code quality emphasis (unit/integration/API testing; code reviews).
• Security focus: API security, credentials handling, and secret management.
• Frontend capability is a plus (React/TypeScript) and frontend-backend integration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and validating AI-generated code.
