Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil seeks an experienced Welding/QA/QC Inspector for onshore/offshore oil and gas projects in the UAE. Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is required, with CSWIP 3.1 or AWS or CWI desirable.

A minimum of 10 years in inspection and verification across welding, piping, equipment, coating and NDT is expected. You will review vendor quality systems, inspect material receiving, witness welding qualifications, approve ITPs and certificates, monitor PWHT and

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
CSWIP 3.1 or AWS, CWI or ERS welding inspection and PCN level II desirable.

Responsibilities

Understand Vendor/Manufacturer’s Quality System requirements.
Review and verify Manufacturer/Vendor documents per PO and material specs.
Carry out material receiving inspection of all permanent project material by EPC contractor.
Witness, verify and endorse procedure and welders qualification.
Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans and material certificates.
Monitor, inspect and approve all welding and NDT works, PWHT, radiographs, and related logs.
Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and structural works during fabrication.
Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing; oversee surface preparation, painting and insulation inspections.
