Job summary

Al Rostamani Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – MEP in the UAE to develop and review HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting designs, and to prepare shop drawings, submittals and calculations in line with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ADDC, DEWA and ESTIDAMA/LEED standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and site teams, perform cooling load calculations, pipe sizing and BMS strategy inputs, and coordinate with electrical and ELV disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of UAE mechanical design experience for MEP projects.
• Knowledge of local authority approvals and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Prepare and modify shop drawings and material submittals; coordinate with project specs.
• Perform cooling load calculations, ventilation sizing, and pipe sizing.
• Coordinate with electrical and ELV teams for integrated system design.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation; support design-related queries.
