Job summary

Duruper in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Mechanical Inspector with welding inspection, quality control, and non-destructive testing (NDT) expertise. You will inspect welding activities, verify compliance with approved procedures and project specifications, and coordinate NDT services to ensure that mechanical fabrication and installation meet the required quality standards.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years of welding inspection experience,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of relevant welding inspection experience.
• ASNT Level II certification in RT/MT/PT/UT.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Welding Inspector certification.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, welding symbols and specs.
• Excellent communication, reporting and coordination skills.
• Valid UAE/GCC driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and welding inspections during fabrication, installation, and construction.
• Perform visual inspections of welds and verify quality against drawings and codes.
• Review WPS, PQR, and welder qualification certificates.
• Coordinate and monitor NDT activities (RT, MT, PT, UT).
• Review NDT reports and verify inspection results against acceptance criteria.
• Inspect materials, welding consumables, joint prep, fit-up and welds.
• Identify defects and deviations; coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports and quality records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, contractors and client reps.
