Job summary

Emirates Group in Dubai seeks a Senior Mechanic to assist Aircraft Technicians and Licensed Engineers in maintaining EK and third‑party aircraft in line with GCAA regulations. You will perform basic servicing, component replacements, and checks while communicating with crew and ensuring safety in a busy maintenance facility.

Requirements include at least 1 year in engineering/mechanical work, relevant diploma or apprenticeship, English fluency, and a valid airport driving permit.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Engineering/Mechanical.
• Diploma, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent with a reputable airline or maintenance organization.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English; holds a valid Airport Driving Permit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic servicing of Emirates and third party aircraft as trained, following manufacturer and company procedures.
• Perform component replacements under supervision of licensed engineers.
• Identify and report un-serviceable ground equipment and ensure rapid rectification.
• Communicate with operating crew regarding refuelling and routine servicing; perform refuelling with supervision.
• Complete transit, daily, weekly and service checks on EK aircraft.
• Maintain tools, equipment and systems and ensure a safe working environment.
• Adhere to safety procedures to protect self and colleagues.

Our highly qualified team excels in maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics , setting industry standards with an unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.The Senior Mechanic will assist Aircraft Technicians / Licensed Aircraft Engineers with the maintenance of EK and third party aircraft compliant to GCAA regulations.In this role you will:Carry out basic servicing of EK and third party aircraft without supervision ensuring that manufacturers and company procedures are followed.Carry out component replacements as instructed by and supervised by licenced engineers under the guidance and support of Aircraft Technicians.Have a sound knowledge of routine servicing ground equipment in order to identify un-service abilities, accurately recording these to ensure immediate rectification.Communicate with the operating crew of aircraft in relation to refuelling aircraft and routine servicing, as well as refuelling aircraft without supervision including technical log completion.Complete transit / daily / weekly and service checks of EK aircraft.Ensure tools, equipment and systems (including ultra main) are well maintained in the relevant work place.Maintain and ensure the safety of self and others by taking safety precautions at all times, continuously monitoring the working area and taking corrective action to keep it clean and obstruction free to avoid any accidents.QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:1 year experience in Engineering / MechanicalVocational / National / Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent training with a reputable airline or an approved maintenance organisation.Experience carrying out maintenance on aircraft in an engineering environment.Basic knowledge (theory and practical) of airframe, power plant and technical equipment.
