Job summary

Etihad Airways seeks an experienced Inventory Management professional to optimize spare part levels in support of Technical operations. You will manage asset categories, oversee procurements, and ensure cost-effective stocking aligned with fleet requirements.

You will analyze demand forecasts, monitor OEM guarantees, and collaborate with reliability teams to secure timely FOC spare support and maintain service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with project management ability.
• MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Review open requisitions and raise orders for spare availability at optimal cost.
• Process purchase, sales and service orders and review invoices for timely payment.
• Calculate and update ERP reorder levels to maintain inventory availability and cost control.
• Provide recommendations for adequate inventory levels based on demand, forecasting and fleet size.
• Support provisioning, scrap activities, procurement and inventory optimization due to fleet changes.
• Monitor tool calibration to ensure maintenance availability.
• Oversee component performance and liaise with reliability for spare support.
• Prepare and analyze inventory holding and related dashboards/reports.
• Coordinate with teams for spares support for lease returns and modifications.

Job description

To analyze and propose optimum levels of assigned inventory type with best practices of inventory management to meet the agreed SLA to Technical’s operations in most cost-effective manner. To support inventory management including all aspects of asset management, such as operations support, investment analysis, surplus management, and database management.

Accountabilities

• Ensure timely review of open requisitions (demands) and raising appropriate orders for timely spare availability at optimum cost.
• To raise purchase, sales and service orders to support operations and review invoices for timely payment.
• To calculate, analyze and update the reorder levels in ERP for Current Assets to ensure availability of consumables to achieve set service levels and maintain adequate inventory levels at reasonable cost.
• Responsible for calculating and providing recommendation for adequate inventory levels based on demands, forecasting and aircraft operations for all Fixed assets holding including cabin, airframe, tools and GSE demonstrate the control on spend based on the division’s strategy (asset-light vs. asset-heavy).
• Support the provisioning and scrap activities including recommendation, procurement and maintain the inventory based on change in demands and fleet size.
• Monitor and stagger tools calibration to ensure availability for all maintenance activities.
• Monitor the performance of the components IAW guarantees provided by OEMs and Aircraft Manufactures and liaise with reliability team to get FOC spare support.
• Responsible for preparing and analyzing Inventory holding and controlling related reports and dashboards.
• Liaise with various team for spares support for the lease return activities, component modifications or any other inventory optimization activities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or equivalent technical degree with minimum 5 years aviation inventory management experience.
• Experience & tracked record in aviation asset management, provisioning, procurement, contract management and/or supplier management functions.
• Recommended to have knowledge of technical manuals like IPC, ITM and MPD and familiar with RSPLs, spare repair and warranty, OEM support contracts like SSC and PSAA along with lease return requirements.
• Self-motivated, team player with strong analytical and problem-solving & project management skills.
• Advance level MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge with excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
