Job summary

the Bank in the UAE Sharjah is seeking a Senior Manager Market Conduct Risk to establish, maintain, and enhance the independent Market Conduct Risk Framework and ensure effective oversight across the customer lifecycle.

You will challenge First Line risk management, drive governance improvements, and lead regulatory engagements while promoting fair customer outcomes and strong conduct culture.

This role requires collaboration across units and reporting to senior management and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Education, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, controls and governance within the banking industry.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the bank's Market Conduct Risk Framework and governance standards.
• Provide independent oversight over First Line's management of consumer protection standards.
• Lead regulatory engagements with CBUAE and respond to examinations.
• Develop risk-based conduct supervision methodology across all business lines.
• Monitor and report on conduct risk across products, channels, and customer journeys.
• Oversee conflicts of interest and market abuse risk controls.
• Incorporate conduct risk considerations into HR performance evaluations.
