Senior Lift Technician – Abu Dhabi Portfolio
Role Summary:
Execute high-precision maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work across all lifts in the Abu Dhabi property portfolio. Serve as the on-ground technical authority, ensuring reliability, safety, and zero-downtime performance. This role demands accuracy, accountability, and strong field execution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevators.
- Diagnose faults in control panels, drives, door operators, and safety circuits with high accuracy.
- Execute component replacements (valves, coils, sensors, ropes, drives) without shortcuts or delays.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards (Schindler, OTIS, KONE, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Field Troubleshooting
- Respond to breakdowns, entrapments, and emergency calls with speed and structured problem-solving.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes—not temporary patches.
- Escalate high‑risk issues early and provide clear technical justification.
Compliance & Documentation
- Work in full alignment with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, ADMCC, and local safety requirements.
- Prepare lift units for inspections and audits with zero compliance gaps.
- Maintain detailed service reports, diagnostics logs, and parts usage records.
Quality Control
- Inspect and verify contractor work to ensure proper installation, calibration, and fault elimination.
- Validate materials used and reject any substandard components.
- Protect building interiors and finishes during technical work—zero tolerance for damage.
Asset Reliability
- Monitor and improve uptime, MTTR, and breakdown frequency.
- Flag recurring issues and recommend modernization or component upgrades when required.
- Identify risks proactively before they escalates into operational failures.
Stakeholder Interface
- Coordinate with property managers, security teams, and maintenance teams on‑site.
- Provide clear status updates, fault reports, and repair timelines.
- Support other technicians with guidance and technical direction when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related field.
- 5–8+ years hands‑on lift technician experience (UAE experience strongly preferred).
- Strong background in both hydraulic and traction systems.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, load test reports, and control logic.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulatory bodies and inspection processes.
