Senior Librarian

We are a reputable library in Sharjah, UAE currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Librarian. This position is suitable for Indian nationals who have a passion for books and knowledge, and are fluent in English. As the Senior Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, developing and implementing library policies, and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, and organizing materials in various formats such as books, journals, electronic resources, etc.
• Develop and implement library policies to ensure efficient use of resources and services.
• Supervise and train junior librarians and support staff.
• Oversee the maintenance of library equipment and facilities.
• Create engaging programs and events to promote reading culture among library patrons.
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide information literacy instruction.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to support their information needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in librarianship.

Requirements
