Job summary

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in the UAE seeks a senior leader to design, operate, and advance our enterprise data lake, data warehouse, and AI/ML platform infrastructure. You will drive data governance, quality controls, and metadata management to enable scalable, secure data services for analytics and AI.

You will own end-to-end data lifecycle—from ingestion to delivery—supporting model retraining, dashboards, and institutional data-driven excellence, collaborating with IT and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, AI or a closely related field.
• 12+ years of progressive professional experience in data, analytics, or AI domains (14+ with a Bachelor's).
• Proven expertise in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks), data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, API development, and metadata management

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of enterprise data registry and catalog for AI and analytics.
• Design and evolve data lake, data warehouse, and AI/ML platform architecture for scalability and performance.
• Implement data governance policies aligned with UAE data protection laws and organizational strategy.
• Define enterprise data quality framework with issue tracking and remediation.
• Coordinate data requirements for model retraining and new variables across AI teams.
• Lead data models, databases, and metadata structures for secure data utilization.
• Build and maintain data ingestion/transform pipelines and data flows across sources.
• Provide datasets for AI solutions, dashboards, and analytics with refresh schedules.
