Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Infection Preventionist/Nurse to lead infection control initiatives. You will work with clinical staff and administration to reduce healthcare-associated infections, provide expert guidance, and coordinate with the Department of Health on notifiable diseases.

The role requires extensive nursing experience, RN registration from eligible regions, and BLS, with potential MSc in nursing/healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and active RN registration from listed countries.
• BLS or equivalent life-support certification.
• Experience in infection prevention and control is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide consultation in infection control to clinical and support staff.
• Lead evidence-based infection prevention strategies with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate communication with DOH on reportable diseases and outbreaks.
• Monitor antimicrobial prophylaxis use for surgical sites.
• Develop policies to minimize transmission of infections and ensure change processes.
• Conduct infection control audits and surveillance with timely reporting.
