Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Designer to join our engineering team for a major onshore oil and gas project based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design specific to the oil and gas industry and must be available to join immediately.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed HVAC system design drawings (HVAC ductwork, piping and equipment layouts) for onshore oil and gas facilities using industry-standard tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
• Develop HVAC design deliverables including general arrangement drawings, duct routing, equipment layouts and support details.
• Work closely with HVAC Engineers to ensure design compliance with project specifications, codes and client requirements.
• Interpret and implement HVAC design codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, etc.).
• Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Review vendor documents and equipment data sheets to incorporate into the HVAC design package.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs and support procurement with technical inputs.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs and constructability assessments during the engineering phase.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables while adhering to project schedules and deadlines.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 810 years of experience in HVAC design within the onshore oil & gas sector.
• Proficient in HVAC software and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.).
• Familiarity with international HVAC and oil & gas standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be immediately available to join in Dubai.
