Job summary

Hill International in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced HSE professional to support the implementation of project-specific HSE systems and procedures. You will assist with embedding safe behaviors, review contractor plans, and lead audits to ensure compliance with UAE laws and Hill standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, fluent English, and a track record in HSE management within large infrastructure projects. Networking within client teams and Hill policies is essential.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in health, safety and environmental field.
• Strong technical/engineering knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi HSE regulations and procedures.
• OSHA/IOSH cognizant qualifications encouraged (CPD).
• Experience with HSE management systems and change management.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in implementing project HSE Management System.
• Develop project specific HSE procedures.
• Support embedding of positive HSE behaviors and safety culture.
• Review Contractor HSE plans and safe systems of work.
• Review MSRA / JSA / RAMS for activities.
• Approve Permit to Work documentation as required.
• Conduct HSE audits and inspections.
• Oversee HSE critical systems and equipment readiness.
• Investigate and report incidents and near-misses.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
• Prepare HSE reports and ad hoc client reporting.
