Job summary

VAM Systems is seeking a Senior GIS Developer for UAE operations. The role focuses on designing and maintaining ArcGIS Enterprise applications and ArcFM workflows, with hands-on work on ArcFM Desktop and extensive Python automation.

Strong skills in spatial databases and full-stack GIS web development using Angular and React are essential. The candidate will integrate GIS services with enterprise systems via REST APIs, ensuring data integrity and performance across Oracle Spatial and PostGIS

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal Server Data Store Web Adaptor) and Esri Web AppBuilder / Experience Builder.
• Hands-on experience with ArcFM Desktop utility networks and advanced editing workflows.
• Proficiency in spatial databases including Oracle Spatial PostGIS and enterprise geodatabase design.
• Expert in Python scripting (ArcPy) ModelBuilder and GIS automation.
• Experience in full-stack web development: Angular React integrating GIS services and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs web services and enterprise system integration.
• Advanced knowledge of GIS data modeling spatial analysis geoprocessing and visualization techniques

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise applications including Portal Server Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder.
• Configure, publish and manage map services, feature services and geoprocessing services for enterprise GIS workflows.
• Develop and maintain custom GIS tools, automation scripts and workflows using Python (ArcPy) and ModelBuilder.
• Design, implement and optimize spatial databases (ArcGIS Geodatabases, Oracle Spatial, PostGIS) ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems, REST APIs and external data sources including modern web frameworks.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis, geoprocessing and visualization to support business decision-making.
• Implement and support ArcFM Desktop workflows including network tracing, connectivity analysis, Auto Updaters and custom editing workflows for utility and network data management.
• Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
