Job summary

gekko | applied drilling intelligence is seeking a Senior Geologist with extensive field appraisal and development expertise. With 15–20 years in upstream oil and gas, you will drive reservoir characterisation, data integration and well planning across projects.

The role supports assets through modelling, interpretation of logs and seismic data, and collaboration with geophysicists, reservoir engineers and drilling teams. Travel to project sites may be required; hybrid/remote work is possible.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of upstream geology experience with appraisal & development focus.
• Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom and seismic interpretation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological assessments of assets and development opportunities.
• Develop appraisal and development strategies to maximise asset value.
• Lead reservoir characterisation and data integration.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers and drilling teams on well planning.
• Support reserves estimation, risk assessment and economic evaluation.
• Engage with JV partners and regulators as needed.
