Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer focused on Node.js and TypeScript. You will own backend development, infrastructure, and high‑impact features from concept to launch, in an autonomous, AI‑driven engineering environment.

You will use Node.js, TypeScript, AWS and modern AI tools to build scalable systems, collaborating closely with the Tech Lead on architecture and technical direction to influence product growth and long‑term

Qualifications

• 4+ years in backend or full-stack with a backend focus in a product-led company.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript with production-grade apps.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js and TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs and DB performance.
• Hands-on AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience writing automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and agentic coding workflows.
• Ownership, problem-solving and independent decision-making.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience designing architecture or infra at early-stage product teams is a plus.
• Proactive, experimentation-driven mindset and interest in AI for productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature development from ideation to release and performance analysis.
• Research market trends and propose features to grow acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Build backend services with Node.js/TypeScript; contribute to frontend as needed.
• Collaborate on software architecture and technical direction with the Tech Lead.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure ensuring reliability, performance and security.
• Develop an AI-native environment for AI agents and coding tools usage.
• Establish and improve testing, CI/CD, and development workflows.
• Own technical initiatives and continuously raise code quality and efficiency.
