Job summary

Northwind (Demo) in Dubai seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer with 5+ years in production web apps to own major UI features and drive performance, accessibility, and developer experience. You will partner with designers, PMs, and backend engineers to ship polished interfaces and raise engineering quality.

You will design and evolve a shared component library, own performance optimization, and enforce scalable patterns across teams. A strong emphasis on code quality and mentoring is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience on customer-facing web products.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React; knowledge of Vue/Svelte is a plus.
• Strong HTML/CSS skills and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with Next.js or similar routing frameworks and Redux/React Query.
• Familiarity with build tools (Vite/Webpack) and testing (Vitest/Jest).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing features using a React + TypeScript stack.
• Develop and evolve a shared component library and design system.
• Own frontend performance: Core Web Vitals, bundle size, runtime efficiency.
• Establish and enforce patterns for state management, data fetching, and composition.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; promote automated testing.
• Collaborate with design on UI/UX and accessibility; mentor teammates.
• Partner with backend engineers to define API contracts.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
