• Prepare an integrated action plan to boost local agricultural, livestock and fish production in the emirate.
• Monitor the Global Food Security Index and identify programmes that will enable the UAE to become one of the best countries in the field of food security.
• Study the risks associated with the impact of global challenges on the food security system, such as climate change, drought and the political stability of food-exporting countries.
• Implement awareness and education programmes for various segments of society to enhance food security.
• Supervise institutions working in the field of agricultural, livestock and fisheries production in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
• Prepare a platform that includes comprehensive data to monitor operations affecting food security and strategic food stocks.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities in the emirate to support and motivate local producers in the fields of food processing, agricultural, livestock and fisheries production.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities to assist agricultural, livestock and fisheries production institutions in marketing their products.
