Job summary

AlFuttaim in Dubai is seeking a Senior Financial Accounting Manager to ensure the integrity and health of the organization's balance sheet through strong reconciliation practices and compliance with IFRS standards.

This role involves timely financial closing processes, collaboration with business units, and supporting external audits. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, extensive experience in financial accounting, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in financial accounting or general ledger management roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Hands-on experience using ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed balance sheet reviews and perform substantiation of general ledger accounts.
• Improve and standardize monthly GL reconciliation schedules.
• Collaborate with finance teams to resolve reconciliation issues.
• Identify financial trends and anomalies while providing actionable insights.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and yearly financial closing activities.
• Review accruals, provisions, and reclassification adjustments.
• Prepare financial reporting data for consolidation systems.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with auditors to support audit reviews.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with IFRS.
