Job summary

Bybit Limited in the UAE seeks a Senior Executive Officer (SEO) to lead its ADGM-regulated entity, ensuring governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will act as FSRA liaison, oversee senior management, and drive strategic objectives while upholding ethical conduct and robust controls.

This is a senior leadership role requiring deep financial services regulation experience, UAE/ADGM familiarity, and ability to engage with regulators, boards, and shareholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience within financial services, capital markets, fintech, digital assets, exchanges, broker dealers, custodians, clearing houses, payment firms, or other regulated financial institutions.
• Proven experience leading regulated businesses and managing senior stakeholders, including regulators and Boards.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulation, governance, risk management, and regulatory expectations.
• Experience overseeing business, operational, and control functions within a regulated environment.
• UAE and/or ADGM regulatory experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to satisfy the FSRA’s Fit and Proper requirements and obtain approval as the Senior Executive Officer.

• Hold ultimate responsibility for day‑to‑day management, supervision, and control of regulated activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, licensing obligations, and governance standards.
• Establish a strong culture of compliance, risk management, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organisation.
• Lead and oversee senior management, ensuring effective execution, clear accountability, and strong organisational performance.
• Ensure governance frameworks, policies, systems, and controls are implemented and operating effectively.
• Oversee identification and management of regulatory, operational, financial, technology, and reputational risks; ensure adequate resources.
• Act as the primary liaison with the FSRA and lead significant regulatory engagements, supervisory interactions, and licensing matters.
• Maintain effective relationships with regulators, Board members, shareholders, and other key stakeholders, with regular updates on performance, strategy, governance, regulatory matters, and risks.

Role Overview

The Senior Executive Officer (SEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the ADGM regulated entity. The role is accountable for the execution of the firm’s strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational effectiveness, while serving as the primary point of contact with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and direction for the regulated entity, ensuring the successful execution of its strategic, operational, and commercial objectives.

Hold ultimate responsibility for the day‑to‑day management, supervision, and control of the firm’s regulated activities.

Ensure the firm maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, licensing obligations, and governance standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of leadership experience within financial services, capital markets, fintech, digital assets, exchanges, broker dealers, custodians, clearing houses, payment firms, or other regulated financial institutions.

Proven experience leading regulated businesses and managing senior stakeholders, including regulators and Boards.
