Job summary

Nova International General Contracting is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to lead cost estimation for civil, fit-out and multi-disciplinary projects in the UAE. You will prepare tender submissions, analyze drawings and BOQs, and drive value engineering while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in QS or Civil Engineering, 10+ years of UAE/GCC contracting experience, and MRICS or FIDIC training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• MRICS or FIDIC training is highly preferred.
• Experience in UAE/GCC contracting is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil, fit-out, and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Develop competitive tender submissions and pricing strategies aligned with company objectives.

• Implement digital estimation tools and maintain updated cost databases.
• Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and UAE regulations.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering proposals.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor rates to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a contracting company, with strong exposure to both estimation and QS functions.
• Proven track record preparing estimates and managing commercial aspects of medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project execution, and commercial frameworks.
• Experience in UAE/GCC contracting industry is a strong advantage
