Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Senior Cardiovascular Technologist specialized in Cardiac Electrophysiology to support EP studies and ablations and assist with device testing, aiming to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.

The role requires hands‑on experience with EP mapping and recording systems, intracardiac signal monitoring, and pacemaker/ICD programming, working alongside a multidisciplinary cardiac team to ensure accurate records and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a cardiovascular technology programme.
• Practical experience in a cardiac electrophysiology service or EP laboratory.
• Valid DHA licence as a Cardiovascular Technologist, or eligible to obtain one.
• Experience with EP mapping and recording systems, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and pacemaker or ICD programming and troubleshooting.
• Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Cardiac Rhythm Management is an advantage.
• Clear communication, sound technical judgement and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary cardiac team.

Responsibilities

• Support electrophysiologists during diagnostic EP studies and cardiac ablation procedures.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology recording, mapping and monitoring systems.
• Monitor intracardiac signals and share relevant procedural data with the clinical team.
• Assist with pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, testing and follow-up.
• Prepare patients, equipment and procedure rooms before each case.
• Complete accurate clinical and procedural documentation.
• Follow patient safety, infection control and radiation protection standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement and support colleagues' technical development when needed.
