Job summary

Salt is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join a high-profile technology environment in Abu Dhabi. You will design and build secure integrations across ERP, HR, Finance, collaboration platforms, and custom apps, bridging complex enterprise systems.

Role focuses on production-grade APIs, event-driven flows, and robust integration patterns. Candidates should bring hands-on experience with REST/JSON/HTTP, SOAP/XML, and modern programming languages.

Qualifications

• You have 6+ years of experience in enterprise integration or backend engineering.
• You design and implement production-grade APIs and integration services.
• You are proficient with REST, JSON, HTTP and SOAP/XML in enterprise contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust system-to-system integrations across enterprise platforms.
• Build and consume REST, OData, SOAP and enterprise APIs.
• Develop asynchronous integrations using messaging and event-driven patterns.
• Define API contracts and integration standards with engineering teams.
• Build transformations between different data models and canonical schemas.
• Engineer resilient integrations with retries, timeouts, idempotency, reconciliation and DLQ processing.
• Implement OAuth2, service identities, certificates and enterprise auth patterns.
• Apply API versioning, lifecycle management and API gateway standards.
• Maintain auditability, traceability and handling of sensitive data.
• Develop logging, monitoring and alerting for production observability.
