Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance and environmental oversight of marine, coastal, geotechnical, and structural projects;
  • Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
  • Managing the delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
  • Assisting with managing waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects;
  • Providing design and engineering services for a variety of areas such as ports, harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management;
  • Preparing engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to obtain repeat business.
  • Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of related experience overseeing coastal, marine, geotechnical, and structural engineering projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience in managing permitting, planning, compliance and oversight of coastal projects. (required)
  • Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
  • Experience with international civil and structural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (required)
