Job summary

Penspen in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Engineer - Operations Readiness & Assurance (Mechanical) to lead OR&A activities for mechanical systems on a major EPC project. You will validate P&IDs, datasheets, and specifications, ensuring readiness for safe start-up and operation.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas, with large-scale EPC exposure in the Middle East, and a strong background in rotating and static equipment; familiarity with ADNOC standards and international codes is essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 15+ years oil & gas experience in a similar role.
• 5+ years EPC large-scale project experience in the Middle East.
• Experience in Operations Readiness, Commissioning, or Start-Up.
• Familiarity with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead OR&A activities for Mechanical System across project phases.
• Review and validate engineering deliverables (P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, etc.).
• Ensure mechanical integrity and reliability strategies are in place (e.g., RBI, PM, CBM).
• Support development of maintenance strategies and procedures.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS, and other safety/technical reviews.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations teams for smooth handover.
• Verify documentation, training, spares, and maintenance strategies prior to start-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead OR&A activities for Mechanical System across project phases.

• Experience with major capital projects (EPC environment preferred).
• Familiarity with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes (API, ASME, ISO).
• Experience in asset integrity, reliability, and maintenance strategies.
