Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior MBE Engineer for Halcon to develop and maintain SysML models, manage requirements traceability, and support Digital Thread integration across ALM/PLM. You will lead modeling activities and mentor junior engineers in MBSE processes.

You will apply Python or MATLAB scripting to automate reporting, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in Abu Dhabi, and contribute to defence-grade systems engineering deliverables within a fast-paced, high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems or product development with MBSE exposure.
• Experience with SysML/SysML v2, engineering processes, requirements management, verification, and traceability.
• Experience with requirements management and modeling tools; scripting in Python and/or MATLAB for automation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior MBE Engineer for Halcon will support the development and implementation of Model-Based Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering, creating and maintaining system models, requirements traceability, Digital Thread integration, verification, and engineering automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain SysML system/subsystem models, interfaces, parameters, baselines, and model-based engineering deliverables.
• Manage requirements, model, and verification traceability, including change impact analysis across requirements, models, and test cases.
• Support the Digital Thread across requirements management, ALM, PLM, and configuration management tools, including automation using Python or MATLAB.
• Lead small technical activities, conduct model reviews, and mentor junior engineers on MBE processes, standards, and modeling tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems or product development, with exposure to model-based system or subsystem engineering.
• Practical knowledge of SysML/SysML v2, systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification, and traceability.
• Experience using requirements management and SysML/modeling tools, with scripting knowledge in Python and/or MATLAB for automation and reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of hands-on Model-Based Engineering/MBSE experience, with demonstrated contribution to subsystem or domain-level models and knowledge of the Digital Thread.
• INCOSE ASEP or equivalent certification, with exposure to defence/aerospace standards such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
