Job summary

A leading engineering company based in Dubai seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for supervising electrical installation activities, ensuring compliance with local authority standards, and coordinating site logistics. This role requires strong leadership in managing teams, problem-solving skills for on-site challenges, and a solid understanding of electrical systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering quality electrical systems while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with local authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, DCD).
  • Competent in interpreting drawings, SLDs, load schedules, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage on-site electrical works including installation and cabling.
  • Verify compliance with DEWA/ADDC/SEWA standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering for drawing clarifications.
  • Liaise with QA/QC for inspections and ensure timely closure of NCRs.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain site records.
  • Ensure HSE protocols are adhered to during works.

Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising all electrical installation and execution activities including LV/MV systems, lighting, power, earthing, cable management, and ELV systems within a designated zone or package. The role ensures that all works are executed in compliance with approved design, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. The Sr. Electrical Engineer plays a key role in coordinating site activities, solving technical issues, optimizing resources, and ensuring quality delivery of electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage on‑site electrical works including containment, cabling, terminations, and equipment installation.
  • Distribute work plans to teams and ensure tasks are understood and executed properly.
  • Verify compliance with authority (DEWA/ADDC/SEWA) standards and consultant requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering for drawing clarifications and technical resolutions.
  • Track productivity, material availability, and site logistics for electrical systems.
  • Liaise with QA/QC for inspections and ensure NCRs are closed promptly.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain detailed site records.
  • Ensure that HSE protocols are followed at all times during electrical work.
  • Participate in energization activities, testing, and commissioning.
