Job summary

A leading Engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering projects within an onshore oil and gas context. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience and significant involvement in ADNOC projects. Responsibilities include technical support for electrical installations, managing technical queries, and ensuring compliance with electrical standards. Preferred qualifications include a BSc in Electrical Engineering and relevant safety training certifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably on ADNOC projects.
  • Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and ATEX standards.
  • Possession of BOSIET and ADNOC-approved safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and field engineering services for electrical installations.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Manage technical queries and support construction teams.
  • Coordinate verification of engineering modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC and local electrical standards.
  • Participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team for an onshore oil and gas project based in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical engineering design and technical solutions. Prior experience working on ADNOC projects is mandatory.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical support and field engineering services for electrical installations (HV/LV) at ADNOC onshore projects.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings specifications and vendor data.
  • Manage technical queries (TQs) RFIs and support engineering design clarifications for construction teams.
  • Interface with design teams to resolve discrepancies between IFC and site conditions.
  • Coordinate and verify redline mark-ups as-built documentation and engineering modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC electrical standards project specifications and local codes.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC and commissioning teams during inspection pre-commissioning and energization activities.
  • Monitor site progress and provide technical support to resolve issues in real time.
  • Participate in FATs SATs and interface testing for MCCs transformers lighting and earthing systems.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 15 years experience with experience on ADNOC onshore .
  • Familiar with IEC IEEE NEC ATEX and ADNOC engineering standards.
  • Hands-on with SmartPlant AutoCAD MS Office and EDMS systems.
  • BOSIET H2S and ADNOC-approved safety training certifications preferred.
